Response to auto-dial test failure

If your communication line with Chubb is supervised, the Chubb Monitoring Centre will receive a Dialer Test Failure Alarm when your Chubb system fails to communicate with the Chubb Monitoring Centre. You will be notified if we receive a Dialer Test Failure Alarm.

If you are contacted in regards to a Dialer Test Failure Alarm, you should follow the steps below:

  • Conduct a manual system test and contact the Chubb Monitoring Centre to ensure the signal is received. If you are unsure how to conduct a system test, please refer to your system’s user guide or contact a Chubb Customer Support agent at the Chubb Monitoring Centre for assistance.
  • If the signal generated from the system test is received at the Chubb Monitoring Centre, the Dialer Test Failure Alarm will reset as your system is communicating successfully with the Chubb Monitoring Centre. If the signal generated from the system test is NOT received at the Chubb Monitoring Centre, a Chubb Customer Support agent at the Chubb Monitoring Centre may assist you in troubleshooting the issue.
  • If the Chubb Customer Support agent cannot rectify the Dialer Test Failure Alarm through troubleshooting over the telephone with you, a Service Work Order will be generated. This work order will alert the Service Department that your system is not communicating with the Chubb Monitoring Centre and you will be contacted to have a service appointment established. A Chubb technician will be able to physically inspect your system to determine the root cause of the communication failure.
